I would like to use revit for working drawings, but I am running into problems with showing custom cabinetry.

In the past I have switched from Revit after the schematics and completed the CD's in autocad.  It would be great to hear from others about how well revit works for customizing cabinetry, tile patterns, etc...

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

You are where we all were once.  You will learn to forget CAD because even just plane details can be done faster in Revit than you can in CAD.  Learn to use the product.  If you model cabinents don't show everything in detail views, turn off what you don't want and add detail linework.  For standard details, create them in Revit drafting details and use reference other view to point to them from your model elevations, plans, sections.

There are a lot of books and videos around to show you how.  Visit CADclips.

Thank you very much for your encouragement.  I won't give up...I just need to push on to the next level.

I really love Revit for design.  Now I need to use it better for the CD's.  I will check out CADclips.

Thanks alot!!
