I'm having a problem that I like to call "cooties" in the file.  I am working on a revit file that was originally used as a preliminary design development file.  There were several .dwg files in it, all of which, but two, have been deleted.  I haven't been able to select the last two, cause I can't find them, even when I zoom way, way out.  The problem is that I am not able to do simple things like, regions, view the 3d model (I do get the section box tho.)  It seems like there have been some glitches, cooties type things that have piggie backed their way into my working drawing file. I have saved as a different file and then purged it and saved again.  To no avail. I wish I could describe in more detail, but some very strange things have been happening.  Does anybody else have any other similar experiences?  Any advice or just comiserating will be appreciated.  Thanks!

Are you working in 2013?  Did you install all of the updates?

They could be buried in an un-used group or a family.

teafoe5 - Our IT person has set up so updates are automatically installed, and we are using 13.  So I don't think that's the issue.

WWHub - Won't the unused groups / families be removed / deleted when file is purged?

Really? I did not know that was possible, I would like to know how he did that.  In the top right corner is a satalite looking icon that is for the communications center, click on it and under Autodesk Channels>Live Maintenance Patches it will tell you if you are up to date or if there is an update available.

Install this add-in and run the manage linked/imported CAD.  It should show you your burried DWG's.
