I have been using Revit for a few years, and just started gettting into worksharing in the last two years.  We are now working on more projects, and bigger projects, and need to look into using a laptop for better "Conflict coordination" during revit meetings.

My question is not about the laptop, but how to get the model to be able to access the revit model and make changes at the Coordination meetings.  I just dont understand the process.

If I copy the model down to the laptop, will it work without accessing the central file?

Do I create a local file first that is synced with the central file, then work on that local file, and when I get back to the office then sync back with the central file?  If so that seems easy enough.

How does it work with linked files? Do they need to be on the laptop as well?  How does it work with the paths?
