hi there,im dealing with really heavy revit porject, which is really hard to navigate inside.

i discussed this revit speed issue a lot on technical forum, got all kind of suggestions like using workset etc..

now im working with worksets for a month, and having really hard time to render my project - becuase it's to heavy.

i decided to give someone the file and lit him make the renders with 3ds max while pay him. - but it take 2 days only to import the file to 3dsmax - and then it's impossible to work on the file on 3ds max becuase of it's being terribly slow.

I sent the file to some revit experts and i get 2 typical comments:

1. Why did you use WORKSET? workset should be used only for mulipile users working on 1 projects! get rid of them!

2. i cant help you render the file - you shuold divide this huge project into MORE WORKSETS.

so is worksets the right option for me? (and i do - work alone in home pc without any other workers)

this is the file:

"...Why did you use WORKSET? workset should be used only for mulipile users working on 1 projects! get rid of them!>>"<<  This person doesn't understand Revit and is absolutly wrong.  Worksets are also valuable to control large projects. With worksets, you can use reduced loads - (not load items you don't need in current session).

I'm not going to even try to look at your file.  If you over modeled your project or used poorly built families, the there is little you can do to shorten the render time.  Worksets will not help with that.

Without even looking, I will bet thet you have a lot of trees or similar site components in your model.
