Hello all,

Our office is in the process of restoring an older building from the late 1800's.  After field measuring I've started modeling the building as is.  So far I've done pretty well with the sweep / reveals / etc.... (just switched to Revit a few months ago after 20+ years of arch desktop).  My question is....what would be the best way to model the white "dental brick" in the attached photo?  i know there would be several ways to do it, I was just wanting to know what the best practice would be.

Thanks in advance,

West

I believe the last time we did it, we created a dental family (probably face based) and then arrayed it along the wall.

ok WWHub.  I will look into that. I'm not real familiar with creating families (although I did manage to get the sweeps to work).  I will research some on a face based family.  Thanks!

ok so I've managed to create the dental trim in a family and then place it on the wall like a sweep.  CryingDon't know for sure if this is the best way to do it or not quite honestly).  My question now is...

If I'm placing them along the wall where there is not an opening and everything is great.  However, when I place them near the window they want to cover the whole wall from base to top.  This is only happening when around or near a window?  I'm sure its a rookie user error, I just can't seem to find out what is causing it?   I've attached some snipped photos for reference.

Thanks for any advice.
