I am redrawing much of my AutoCAD library in Revit so that I don't carry over a bunch of legacy information.  I'm currently trying to develop some custom furniture and reading around it seems that using mass models is the way to go for creating rounded items such as cushions and padding.

Attached is a AutoCAD solid model of a seat back that I have as well as a mass model of the same item using Revit mass modeling.  My first attempt was to create the form vertically but then I found I could not add edges to modify the top plane to the countours I was looking for.  Next, I tried a sweep in an arc, then added profiles to create the top profile (not exactly as easy to control but passable).  The end pieces I extended vertically but I could not find a way to join the corners smoothly.  You can see the result attached as well as the AutoCAD solid I'm trying to copy.

Would anyone have some advice on an efficient strategy for creating this object?  Is using mass modeling the right way to go?  I used the tutorials located below which were helpful but they have not updated the material section for 2013.
