I am using Revit 2013. When I am editing a paragraph I can add bullets using "Paragraph Format" and they show up as long as I am editing the paragraph. As soon as I exit the text, the bullets disappear. The indent still shows but the bullet icons are gone. Any ideas about what might be wrong?

It works fine on my 13 .... so the next question is - Do you have all the updates?
BTW - AutoDESK just released update 3 for 2013.

I believe I have all the updates. I am using a custom font, but when I switch to a standard font the issue remained. HMMMM.

You should have answered that you have Update Release 2 - not I believe. Just beside the ? - the pulldown "About AutoDESK Revit 2013"
We use Ariel and it works.

Sometimes it depends on whether or not the font type supports bulleting. (Most do) Is it a true type font? Serif, sans-serif? I might be able to offer some suggestions. We use Ariel.
Its comic sans your using isn't it?

We are still on release 1.
We use a custom font for our company called DVCC and it does not looking anything like any of the fonts in Revit (I'm not sure why the big cheeze here thought that was necessary) and bulleting does not work for that. I had switched to RomanS, and as fate would have it, bulleting does not work for that either. When I switched to Ariel it works fine. Thanks for the hints. Is there a way to "fix" a font so bulleting will work?

Under your system start, select Run and then type charmap. This is a graphic display of the truetype fonts available on your system. Find the one closest to your bullet and copy - paste that into your line of text instead of using the automatic bullets.
BTW - YOU SHOULD AT LEAST BE ON RELEASE 2! That fixed a lot of problems
