After noting and dimensioning a section we split and compressed the viewport. Everthing looks great except for one item. The dimension that spans the gap has pushed the dimension text outside of the dimension ticks. We can't grab it to relocate and leaders are not working on it. The only way it seems to work is to adjust the clipping of the view which makes the view go off the sheet. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

THis takes experience to forsee this problem .... and I've had that. Slam your split back together and move the dimensin text into an area that will remain after splitting. Now split the view and you can move the text to where you really want it. Do this with wall tags, material tags and notes that are "orphaned" in no-mans land between the split boundaries.

That did it. Do you know if this has been fixed in 2014 so you don't have to move the text before spliting the view?
Thanks for the solution.
