Greetings, (Revit Arch 2013)
I have noticed that when creating a grid ceiling, you can select a line within the grid ceiling and move it left/right/up/down to adjust the setting out (presumably).
Is there a way of doing the same thing with a floor finish? I have set up my floor types so that they show as hatches, conveniently enough I can set a '600sq tile' to appear as a 600sq crosshatch. However the hatch does not start where I want the tiles to start from. Is there a way of adjusting the hatch in the plan view so that it can be taken as a tile setting out drawing? Ie; tiles aligning with walls etc.
Many thanks,
CM.

All 3D material hatches can be modified in a parallel view. That's what they are for.

Thank you but I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you spell it out please?

Thanks for this, I think this is what I've been looking for, however my floor type does not have a 'shape handle' to select. Is there a way of applying a shape handle to a pattern on a floor type or at least turning it on?
Many thanks.

Any straight line in a pattern can be used - no matter how small.

Hi again,
I have been trying to select a line in my floor pattern in the way both yourself and F1 HELP suggests, but this does not seem to work on the crosshatch pattern I have applied to my floor material or any other pattern, (see attached jpeg and revit model).
I have tried by painting a surface with a pattern and also setting up a material with a surface pattern and then creating it as a floor, it does not work either way. Pressing tab does not select anything other than the entire element, there are no shape handles to select at all.
Any further suggestions?

Right, done a bit more investigating. The problem is that my floor displays a drafting pattern. I need it to display a model pattern in order to edit/align it. So the question is...how can I create a floor which displays a model pattern?
I am using Revit Arch 2013, and two books, Autodesk Revit Arch 2013 N.E.R and Autodesk Revit Arch 2013 Essentials and neither offers an explanation.
