Greetings,
I have set up a bunch of materials as floor finish types under Manage/Materials. Then when I go to Architecture/Floor I can choose which of these materials to use; carpet, ceramic tile, vinyl sheet etc.
All of the materials I have set up are showing in the Manage/Materials dialogue window, however when I come to choose them in the properties drop down menu a few of them are not showing.
Any suggestions ?

Which Revit? If 13, be careful, -Do you have your materials set to show all or just what's in use or not in use?

Hi,
Yes I am using 2013 and under Manage/Materials my materials are set to 'All'.
I have now figured out that if I choose a material in the properties dialogue and then duplicate it, I can then change the duplicated one to one of the missing material/s through the properties dialogue. It seems like the wrong way to do it but it does seem to work.

Sadly, this is how I've had to do it as well. So you aren't alone. Don't worry, it gets better in 2014.
