The wall opening tool isn't working on straight walls just on curb walls,

Any idea?

If you want help here, you always need to give more information.  Version - updates?

We use the wall opening tool in all versions (except not 2014) and have not had problems.  That would indicate that you are probably doing something incorrectly.... like setting your opening to a height above your wall or out of view.

"...curb walls..."   Do you mean curved walls?

Are you placing your opening from a plan view?  If not, then you should be.
