I have inserted a vinyl siding profile on my exterior walls, but it only shows them 3d when i select the wall. How do I get the wall to show up with the 3d vinyl siding? also when I apply paint on the walls it only coats the interior side. How do I paint the exterior side?

Paint from an outside view - paint can be applied to any surface but you have to pick it.
I don't know what your image is - please describe better what you are doing. That is not a simple material.

I am trying to create a 3d vinyl siding. Ive already created the wall structure, and when I click on a vinyl wall in the 3d view it shows correct. However when I deselect the wall, the 3d sidding goes away back to 2d. how do you get the 3d siding to be vissible in all views at all times?

As I said before - This is not a simple material - correct? So how did you make this?

ive already created the vinyl wall structure by using reveals. under the wall type properties>structure> reveals> add profile. i had to add the profile several times to create a wall of vinyl siding. after adding the profiles the vinyl wall was created.

Obvoiuly something is flawed in your process. Attached is mine done in a similar fashion Revit 13. Maybe you have two walls in the same place.
I must caution you. On small projects, this may work but in most cases, this will overwhelm your model and a material is a better process.
