I'm trying to create a new carpet material from a picture I've taken of the existing carpet.  I've added the image to the Textures/3/Mats folder but when I go into the materials editor box to add the material it is not showing up for me to add to the project.  Help!

Do it in 12 and copy paste is the best method.

The problem is, even in 2012, the image is not showing up in the library even though I've placed it in the physical folder.  I copied a name of a similar carpet but changed the name slightly to make it specific.  Is there something else that needs to be done to make it show up in the Revit library?

It doesn't matter where the image is exactly, as long as REVIT can find it.

I would just duplicate an existing carpet material and reassign the image of that material your new image. Quick and easy.

Always duplicate a similar material then assign different properties, textures, images, scaling and assets.
