First off I am working in 2014.  Next, what I am trying to do: I want a workaround to Revit's Keynoting so I can Keynote in th more traditional fashion. 

What I would like is a Symbol that I can have leaders on it with a Lable in it that I can schedule and have an accompanying text field for notes.  This way, I could place the symbal, give it a number, schedule the number and fill in the text with the "dumb" keynote.  My hope is that if this is possible, and I change the keynote number in the schedule, it would update all the annotation symbols.  I don't know enough yet about Revit to know if this is possible or how I would go about doing it (shared parameters?)  I tried to figure it out but it just makes my head spin so I thought I would ask those smarter then myself.

Found the answer to my own question but incase anyone else is insterested the answer is Noteblock Schedule.  Steve Stafford sent me some good links.
