Hi All,
I'm an architect in need of some DESPERATE assistance. Currently I'm working on Revit 2013/2014(2013 at home 2014 at work).
I need to create an accurately modelled parking area with tarmac, kerbs, rainwater channels, etc. I have been provided with levels from a 2D survey of the existing which I need to factor in when I'm producing the proposed model. It would be great to be able to see both the existing and proposed against each other in section so I can see what cuts and fils are required.
Currently what I have done is create the surface using the 'floor tool'( as I require a layerworks buildup when in section) and have added points to the surface to create the falls. I literally have a site which slopes in two directions at the same time at varying positions.
When I draw a section through the surface it looks like a dogs breakfast and well it's just not producing the results I require.
I have thought about creating a gridwork at 1Metre intervals, plotting levels at each and every grid intersection, gradually changing each point to create a SMOOTH TRANSITION between each point to provide an effective and ACCURATE section.
I am also trying to use 'FLOOR EDGE' on a sloped floor surface to create Rainwater channels and Kerbs, however, it just doesn't compute.
At the moment my sections look terrible when projected and I don't know how else to do it.
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks a mil.
