Hi All,
I am currently trying to include the location of the floor penetration in our Plumbing fixture families (Revit Architecture 2013).
As it only needs to show in plan view my current strategy is to create an extrusion which uses the custom subcategory "Connectors" while all other 3D geometry resides in other subcategories which I can then switch off in the visibilty/ graphic overwrites.
So far so good. The only problem with this workflow is: my masking regions.Masking regions cannot be assigned to a subcategory and do therefore always show up (hiding my connectors). The masking regions are used with symbolic lines to represent the basins, toilets in plan view (tidier than the 3d model).
My question now: Is there a better way of doing it? OR do I really need to avoid using masking regions now?
Feedback is very much apprechiated.
Thank you very much.
Jan
