Hi, may I ask if there's a way to create a railing with ellipse path.

Why do an absolute ellipse? They are hard to define and build.
When we hand drafted and needed an ellipse (before templates '60's), we always used an approximation as described in the first link below.

This link shows how close an appromation is to a real ellipse - note that very long, thin ellipses do not work as well.

If you do like described in those links, you use simple arcs and those work with all Revit elements.

actually the design requires to have an ellipse path for railing (please see attach image) its an indoor track-4 lanes and because of space requirement, we came up with this design. ellipse are so annoying, you cant even use them in pick lines command for walls.

Hi Gelo26,
Please do not use ellipse for running track!
I designed the year 2000 US Olympic Trial track, and myself was a runner too.
Please use simple half circle, all other shapes we called "back-breaker".

thank you for your reply and comments. as much as i want to have a semi circle for the track, my boss insists to have this layout. i'll defend this to him and update you guys if i win over my boss. cheers!
