Big Wish 01: Since Revit is so library driven, I think library management tools would be a very strong selling point for Revit. If a CAD manager of a firm could quickly generate a databse of library components, a thumbnail image, a list of all the categories & subcategories, and assign searchable keywords to each family file, the staff could find what they are looking for more quickly, and the family building would go smoother (less inconsistancy in subcategory naming conventions between family files) Ideally, the CAD manager could just set up the database to link to the library component folder(s) and the database will update every tim a new family file is placed in the library. For many firms, a well organized library is what allows production to rapidly increase. Big Wish 02: There are several settings in Revit that are not allowed to be changed. This is intentional by the developers, because they want to limit the amount of options that a user has to define (in an effort to keep things simple) For example: the default text size for schedules is 1/8". At my firm we use 3/32" for schedules. It is very easy to change the text size after the schedule is created, but becuase Revit is so automated, changing this setting for each new schedule that is created is something one has to remember to do. My wish is for the Revit developers to create a CAD manager interface that allows more control over these options and then can implement them office wide. OR if these settings were allowed to be modified in the .RTE (template) files only, not in the .RVT (project) files. - Jon
