i watched an autodesk video, they mentioned that the assembly feature is added with PRECAST in mind.

i have been trying to do this. i have 2 different rvt files let say housing blk 1 and blk 2.

-i edited blk 1 and created an assembly AA (column and rebar)

- i opened blk 2 and pasted the same assemlby AA.

-if there is a change in assembly AA, i will open and edit blk 1 and update assembly AA.

QUESTION:

what is the correct way to update assembly AA in blk 2? is there any semi-auto update method?

if i will just paste the updated assembly AA, it will create new assembly AA2

i can not:  edit blk 2, delete the affected assembly, paste the updated assembly and position one by one again (speaking of a large scale project).

i can not: edit blk 2, update the assembly AA manually. there will be a chance that assembly AA in blk 2 will not tally with blk 1, blk 3, blk 4, etc.
