Hi all,I've come across an odd wall join anomaly - the attached file (RVT 2012) shows the problem. Essentially I have a junction between 3 walls. In the first instance everything joins as expected even though one of the walls has had its profile adjusted. In the second instance the second wall has had it's profile amended and after this the join with the single leaf blockwork wall breaks.I know I can fix this cosmetically using the cut profile tool or disallowing the join but I'm trying to understand why the problem is occurring in the first place. Can anyone shed any light on things?

I have asked the same question over on Revitforum but as yet no joy in sorting things...

CheersKeith.

after profile of wall modified, it doesn't work like normal unmodified walls some times.

beacause, after modifyied, the wall end doesn't extends to end of the other joining wall automatically, i guess.

in this case, you have to align virtical profile line that meet with other walls to all across other walls. then you can get what you want.

and if i were you, i'd just add void instead edit profile. it's even more convenient and no errors.

i don't use Edit Profile except when i need curved or leaned edges.

Sometimes you are better off to split the wall (either vertically or horizontally) to isolate profiled area away from corner wall join conditions.  The split can be joined in elevation views so no line shows.
