So I opened a family to edit it. A double door. The trim extrusion needs to be adjusted, but I cant. I can edit the boudary, but not delete or re-reference dimensions..in fact the dimesnions wont be deleted...no they are not locked.
note the dimesnion is black...meaning its there while you are editing. I cant ddelete that one. or the pink lines...

Click on the top sketch line...then edit the dimension that is available.

I had to delete the extrusion. I could not do anything to the dimension or the line.
