Greetings,

was wondering if the smart users on this site could help me out.

created a simple house, Top of walls at 8', flat bottom roof truss.  opened the default ceiling plan and:

- Autosketch ceiling does not work

- can not select the new 3/8" gyp bd ceiling after sketching it in (non auto)

- can not change any view settings, not using a default template for this view but all but top limit are greyed out

- can not get room names to appear, checked view settings and they are not set to "not display"

- can not get any features in the floor plan, like kitchen sink, to show up in the view to help locate the installation of lights etc.

thanks

j

"- Autosketch ceiling does not work"  Do you have room boundaries?  Where is your view cut plane?

"- can not select the new 3/8" gyp bd ceiling after sketching it in (non auto)"  Select before you sketch .. what's your ceiling heigth in that selection?

"- can not change any view settings, not using a default template for this view but all but top limit are greyed out" << Are you sure about view templates?  Check view properties.

"- can not get room names to appear, checked view settings and they are not set to "not display"" << Did you add room names... they are not automatic - they are 2D and view dependent.

"- can not get any features in the floor plan, like kitchen sink, to show up in the view to help locate the installation of lights etc."

Use your floor plan as an underlay.

Your casework is not going to show unless you use an underlay.  Your cut plane is 7'6"!!!

If you ceiling is set under properties when you start at something less than 7-'6" it will not create automatically.  Set that.
