How do you allow a material tag to recognize an assigned material in a family?
I've got a panel family which I've added a material parameter to the family type. Once imported into my project, I select the appropriate material from within the project, but when I try to material tag it, it does not recognize any material.
Is there a specific way the parameter needs to be set up within the family?

hi
hope its not too late to answer
yes there is! when you do a material tag, make sure set your detail level to fine. then you can also tag all the structure construction/layer of wall.
after tagging, you can set it back to coarse level if you must
