Hi,

I recently started using the cloud renderer with a student version and i noticed a lack of depth to the renders. It looks more like a flat, 2d image. Am I missing something with the settings? I also notice the same thing when i render using a section box with a local render. Any ideas?

Heya Andy...

Here's an example... Theres supposed to b mosaic on the back wall and the glass bottles dont exactly loo like glass either.... the wood texture shows up pretty flat too i think... am i reading too much into it maybe?

mosaic that far away would need a really high res to see. the bottles... some on the very top are washed out from the light right on them but that would be a hard thing to render anyway. you say wood texture. is there a bump pattern on the wood? if not then yea it will be literally flat lol. if there is then turn it up. I think it looks great overall though. without you saying anything I would just have noticed the spots in back being a little too bright and focused on that one shelf.
