There is one issue has bother us for a while --
Our landscaping consultant are using CAD. For some reason, every time we link there CAD drawing(even in a "current view only" option), its huge scope would paralyze our model. By 'scope', I mean its origin or WSC or USC is far far away from their acutal CAD lines. This causes inaccuracy and constantly freeze our revit model. I used to think there are some frozen layers which have content far far away from their main CAD lines, but after I turned on all the layers, nothing shows. So I inclined to think it's its origin or USC setting make its scope so huge. I tried to wblock the CAD drawing, the scope was carried to the new file. Anyone can give me a help on this? Much appreciation!

When you wblocked, did you pick a new origin?

Yes, I picked a new region close to these CAD lines. There are some blocks in their drawing, not sure if the UCS or origin was carried from these blocks. I can send the file you would like to have a try. Thanks.
