You can create a family with a shared parameter that can be scheduled and tagged but there is no built in way of numbering sequentially.

You need to do some learning.

First read up on shared parameters and how to create them in your help.

The family can be a simple non-hosted element with a line to place at the station point. << Detail template

You can create a tag that "reads" a shared "station" property in the family.

Then you can array these (and a tag) along your line and set the station value for each afterwards.
