I use Revit in my Civil Engeneering class. I have not been using it very long. but i am now trying to build a layout for a horse barn i was wondering how i could make a "horse" and "horse tack" so that i can put it into the project.

Revit is really for buildings - doesn't work well for making horses.  Instead, see if there is any sketchup horses at google warehouse.  Otherwise you would have to find an RPC but that will cost you.

You need to read up on Revit, do the tutorials that come with Revit. There are also a lot of tutorials on Youtube.com, Cadclips.com.

Download Revits guide to family creation http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=13126315&linkID=9243099 to become familiar with creating families.

Read your HELP to find information on Importing CAD and sketchup elements.  There are also a lot of threads here that will tell you how to do it.

You are not going to master Revit in a couple days or even a couple weeks, you need to do your homework with the program.

wax on - wax off.....

According to you, you know very little about Revit and yet you want to model complicated forms that Revit is not meant to do.  Crawl first.  Learn how to do simple forms and simple families.

You can always search this form for sketchup and find your answer ... if you have the time and the inclination but that appears not to be the case.

Sketchup can be directly imported into a Revit model.
