Anyone know a good way to split up an elevation marker in plan, so the views can be placed on multiple sheets which will then show the correct referencing inside the marker? (As you can't place the views from one elevation marker on multiple sheets and expect it to show up). The only workaround I know is to create a fresh elevation and copy over any text/annotations, filled regions, etc - but this seems slow and cumbersome.

Any tips welcome.

BTW - this situation comes about when you first create a new set of elevations (for example inside a room) and they all get creted off the same marker - and perhaps all go on the same sheet to start with. But then perhaps the scale of the elevations needs to change, or the sheet size changes, or there are alot of notes added, etc - so no longer do all 4 elevations fit on one sheet. As soon as you move 1 or more to another sheet, the original marker in plan view goes blank.

I'm sure you know abour duplicate view with detailing - correct?

Then just move the doubled up tag and delete the old elevation.

Yes it's true, the old duplicate with detailing trick - should have thought of that before posting this question...ah well, sometimes the old brain doesn't think simply enough!

Pardon me if I'm getting the question wrong. If this is what you are asking- multiple elevation tags at different locations on same or different sheets or views then you can create create a reference elevation for dummy tags.

view --> elevation --> select reference other view from modify tab --> select the view to be referred.

You miss-understood the question, reference other view was not the answer.  The reference other view is usable when you want to place the same callout in different views.
