Hi All,

I am using Revit Arch. 2012. I am trying to cut a circle into a curved stack wall. I can cut shapes into a regular curved wall but I created a lattice effect to this particular stacked wall and would like to make an opening for a window. When I perform the cut geometry step it doesn't allow me to select the whole wall instead it selects one of the parts of the stacked wall and cuts just that. How do you make it select the entire wall? Please help!

Thanks!

Shereta

A stacked wall is just that .... stacked walls.  Not one element!  So if you are doing an in-place void, you need pick each wall to cut.

Why are you cutting to put in a window?  A window family (hosted) typically provides its own cut.

Point taken and that makes since Smile.  I want the window to be round.  Should I just edit one of the window families to make it round and place those where I need them?  I don't think I have seen round windows but I might have over looked it.

Thanks for you help!

A round window needs a round wall cut.  The standard window uses a straight cut.  You can edit a window family and modify the window and cut, you can download a window from RC that is round/ half round/ or archtop and modify, or you if just a frame around it, I would use a Curtain Wall sketched to round with a simple mullion frame.
