Hello,

Can anyone tell me the most correct/efficient way to prolong a wall sweep onto a staircase (please see jpg attached)?

Many thanks.

Sorry but your question is not clear.

Is it an in-place sweep or a wall defined sweep?

Not sure how good your image does.  I assume you mean the base at the landing?  What do you want it to do?

The wall sweep (brown, to the left) is a wall defined sweep.

I need to stop it once the stairs start, and I was wondering on how could I create an object that would follow the wall sweep along the stairs. I have drawn it in black, roughly.

Do you know that you can define a stringer for your stairs?  See attached.

Look at the stair samples on the on-line library.  http://revit.autodesk.com/library/html/index.html

Open the file I pointed to!  You can copy that and load it into your project.  Then look at the settings!

Eureka!

The problem was that I was trying to create stringers on a monolithic stair. Can't do that.

Many thanks for your help and time.
