I am still a total noob, but plowing along on my own. I am working in a project that uses six linked models that are updated frequently. With each update, I need to reload them into my model and review what has been changed. I have not delved very deeply into copy/monitor and coordination tools, as my equipment is less grid driven than "did-they-move-the-door-again?" and "why-did-that-wall-turn-into-a-window?" conditions. Most of the time, a good review of each room is sufficient. However, on the occasion that I find a line appearing in a room that I don't recognize and looks suspiciously like new structure, I am wondering if there is any quicker way to determine what that line or object is besides opening (and unloading) the linked model and navigating through it to find that very level, room and object? Sometimes, when I go to the base model, the object is not visible, and I have to hunt through the visibility settings in order to recreate what I'm seeing in my model. Does this make sense?

This is why we use copy - monitor.  It is not just for Grids.

You can always tab select elements in a linked model to identify what they are.

You do not have to unload a model to look at it.  If you want to look at it in the same session, save another copy with a unique name and open it up side by side.

Tab select is exactly what I was looking for, thank you.

I get that copy/monitor is meant for other things, but I'm going to need more time to work with it on my own. I tried to use the tool at an earlier stage but was unable to manage it without more experience.
