I have a structure where the sloped beams make up the roofing structure. I have my H.P level set and my first beam runs at -10" to 0" the next runs 0" to -10" creating a ridge the next bay should be -10" to 0" HOWEVER when I try to put in that beam connected to the last beam it shoots it off into the last grid shrinking the second beam and screwing up the elevations. See the attached images for clarification. Any ideas how I can get the 2nd and 3rd beams to connect without it shooting the third beam way

I placed a column line in at the splice locations (you could also use a reference plance) and after it shot the sloped beam out to nowhere I dragged the end past the splice point (the shape handle not the other one) and the cut the beam to the splice grid line and it works!
