I need to place  house plans on sheets.  I am using a template.  How do I do that? How do I save it?

How do I place  multiple views(viewports) on a single sheet?

The help menu is not clear.

In your sheet plan just "drag-and-drop" the views you want from the "Project browser"

Thanks Typhoon.

My teacher might want the class to create our own sheets and schedules in the coming weeks. Right now the class is using revit's built in template.  I am wondering why would on the job people want to create their own sheets and schedules when it is easier to use revits pre-made templates?

My assignment is coming up soon, so when it does come, I'll start a new thread on how to create my own sheets and schedules.

If you know of any short cuts and tips go ahead and let me know, as far as sheets and schedules goes.

Firms generally have their own set of standards that their office conforms to.  On office will do things differently, have their sheets, title blocks, texts, dimensions etc different than another office to separate themselves from others.  Revits pre-made template is a beginning or a starting point for users, firms want to customise their template for their specific wants and needs.

When I choose to print 1/2"=1'-0", this scale(First Floor) appears outside of the revit template border. How do I move it so that it is inside the border?

The 1st floor scale and the drawing appear out of place together at 1/2" scale. why? how do I correct it at that scale?

Is the view scale the same thing as the print scale?  I have a view scale of 1/4"=1'-0", but it is not printing at 1/4"=1'-0". Why?

Your view scale is set up in your view, for example 1/2"=1'-0" then you go to a SHEET (say A101) and drag your view from the project browser onto your sheet.  You need to set up your printer properties so that its set to zoom to 100% if you are trying to print full scale drawings.  You said this is for your teacher, isn't he showing you any of this?

I centered the page and the border still does not appear. Why?

Attach a screen shot of your Sheet.  Are you plotting to the correct paper size?

What linework is your border?  Revit sees the sheet based on an invisible line in the sheet family.  The printed border is a normal inetype inside of that invisible line sheet limit.

Thanks guys.  I went to print setup and did the following:

1.- offset from center x=0.0, y=0.0  (user defined)

2.- zoom 100%

I got the right scale to print and the border to print as well. Thanks guys.
