I had downloaded revit 2013 onto a new machine (8core i7, SD boot drive, 32g ram) , awaiting the flash drive version of the entire new suite I purchased from autodesk. IT RAN SLOW AS MUD. Simple pans of floor plans caused 10-20 second regens. etc etc. The flash drive came so I uninstalled the downloaded version and loaded up the whole suite. BINGO. Everything seems a 1000% faster. Go figure.

This could have been due to not having the sercvice pack updates installed. Glad you got it working with the suite!
