Hello,

we're looking for upgrading our computers with better graphic cards. Right now equipped with an ATI Radeon HD 5700 card. I read a lot of good things about the GTX cards, but will they actually make a big improvement for me?

And then another question, for sale are the "normal" 660, or the 660 ti. Would this make any difference? Is it worth the difference in price?

If there are any cards more suitable for me, in the same price range, feel free to advise me!

Thank you, kind regards,

Jeroen Martens

i personally am a huge fan of the 660 ti but thats becuase i also use it for rendering. i use to have a 560 ti as my gpu for my screen but had to overclock it to get the same results as a cheaper Quadro 600 for viewport render in Revit and in Max. if you are only looking at something for revit modeling and documentation then a 600 or maybe even a 2000 quadro is better than a geforce.

Hey Thank for your answer.

Right now we're doing all the 3D rendering online in the cloud. Works perfect. Except the elevation views, and floor plans, we like to show them as "realistic" in books (we make for our clients).

So I'm looking for a card who can make in improvement in that area. The quadro 2000 would be too expensive. (and only offers 1GB?)

I saw many positive story's abou the GTX cards....?

Thnks!

yeah you have to step up to a 4000 quadro for 2gb which is an extremely well performing card. our graphics guy here has one in his 3ds max station. if you go to revitforum.org and look at the revit 2013 benchmarks you can see some of my test numbers with various cards. same name as on here. i dont have one of the 660 ti on there but i have tested it. let me see if i can find the results
