How do you create a fire or flame with Revit Arch 2013. I am making a family of a fire pit and I would like to create a flame for it.

Thanks!

Rob

It would be difficult to do.  You could try creating and extrusion or revolve and add voids to get a certain look and apply a "fire" material to it.  You might want to look at google warehouse to see if there is anything there first.  Are you going to need to see it in 3D?  You could just make an extrusion and add a decal to it if you are seeing it from a certain angle only.

Thanks! I will take a look and give it a try. Do you think any of the standard Revit materials can be used to produce a "flame look"?

youd have to do a billboard material. get a photo of fire then use an opacity map thats a black n white cutout of the fire.

or look for something similar to this
