it keeps disappearing.  I have to shut down to find it again.  Right now I am trying to moving objects but the bar that allows me to unconstrain and punch in numbers is gone.  How do I get it back

It sounds like you are having a graphics card/memory issue. 

Have you loaded the latest build?

Have you loaded the latest video drivers?

List your specs.

I have a fairly new computer. How do I load the latest build? Sorry but I am very lost about what you are asking.

These are my specs:

Those specs. are nothing to me. like WWhub said try to install the latest video drivers.

I finally found the ribbon all the way at the bottom of the screen.  This had nothing to do with the video card.
