Hello-
It would seem to be possible to make drawings of components, (such as doors and windows) in 1/4" scale to use as templates while building a model. (Much as one would use a template to make a balsa-wood airplane). My question is-
How do you make drawings of just a single component?
I haven't been able to figure that out yet. Thanks for your time!
(I'm using Revit 2013)

You can isolate certain parts of elements in any view if they are set up that way. For instace, if you have an elevation view that includes a door, you can turn off everything in VG except the door panel.... or the frame. Is that what you mean?
In the family editor, you can also isolate individual model elements in a view and print from there.
