Greetings.

Does anyone know if it is possible to define a default Door type for insertion?

I realize that Revit will insert the most recent family type, however I am revising all the doors in our 'warehouse' and would like to see of I can also set a DEFAULT.  It would be efficient if I can set the 900mm doors (1800mm for double doors) as the default family type.

Can this be done?

Default how?  You can make a door be a default in the template but obviously, that is only the first time it is used.

Thank you.  I am hoping that I can define the default door (maybe even window) type for my door families.  We have many families and all of them, when loaded into the model (or project template) place the 1200 type,

• reardless of which type might have been created first or last
• regardless of which type is left as 'current', while saving in the family editor.

Just seemed to me like something was controlling this.  If so, I hoped to be able to harness it and make the 900 type the default door type, for all (+/-50) of my door families. 

But perhaps this is a wishlist item ...
