I have revit 2012.  I have 2 different roofs that I want convert into 1 whole solid.  I am trying to create a sinlgle solid with a template roof and my own roof, so that when I click on it the entire roof highlights.

I Joined a hip roof to a gable roof using the join roof command. Now I would like for the hip and gable roofs to be 1 in the same roof, so that when I click on it the entire roof highlights. Right now the hip and gable roofs highlight separately.

If the roofs were made seperately, then they will be seperate.

You could group them but I don't know why you would.

It is sometimes better to have seperate roofs and sometimes that is the only way to create a roof.  If you want to select all the roofs just click on one, right click and click select all instances in entire project.
