I am working on Revit (back and forth between 2011 and 2013) and I have been having a problem with my trees not showing up in my renderings. Any help would be much appreciated! And don't underestimate my inexperience with the program, it could easily be something you would think would be obvious. I am not very familiar with the program yet.  Thanks!!

We need more information than "trees not showing up in my renderings".  Where did you get the family?  Do the show up on your site plan, or 3D views?  Are they not showing up in all of your projects in 2011 and 2013 or just one project?  Can you see the tree in the view you are trying to render?

I got the family from school. Our teacher has put a file out called "Revit Library 9.0". The trees show up in my site plan and 3D views. I can see the trees in the view I am trying to render until it is rendered. And I have not had this problem with the few other projects I have worked on. However; I am putting a "green roof" on the building so my trees and bushes are on my second floor elevation.

I got trees in just from the family that comes with Revit. But none of the shrubs are working, same problem.

If you are working in either 2011 or 2013, the library families that come with that issue of Revit work.  Revit has a different render egine starting in 2011.  Prior revit foliage families and materials do not work after they switched the render engine.

Available trees should look something like the attached.  And your library should contain the families listed in the attached.

I don't have a problem with the trees anymore, just the shrubs. I used the families brought in by Revit but they still don't show up. And I ran into another problem on the way... How can I open a drawing that was drawn on Revit 2013 in Revit 2011?

Put some images so we can see what's the problem.

About the second question: NO, you CAN'T do that.

I opened your file and you don't have nothing in there so I can't see what's wrong with your shrubs... try to render in a "Camera view" and not in a 3D view
