I am tagging doors in a project with the "tag all not tagged" feature. It's a great feature, but there have been about 50 doors deleated during the design development stage. So, now when I tag the doors, instead of getting a door schedule in sequential order, I end up getting numbers which are skipped. There are 100 doors in the project and the door numbers go up to 150. I can manually change the door marks, but I think there's a better way....any suggestions???

I manually renumber from a schedule if I just have to close gaps. If you want a logical progressive number like clockwise on a plan, then you will want to do it from a plan view. Otherwise you can find some add-on packages that help with this.
Avetech had one but I don't see their site. Here is one that is in a similar thread:

Search the threads for renumber to find more similar posts and possible other add-ins.

Since I'm assuming no final design has the same amount of doors/elements as the initial proposed design, this issue may be something future versions of Revit will hopefully address...

This is not really a Revit issue.... you can deal with this as a user.

The way I usually did was turn the door tag off when I placed them.
At the point when I needed to see the door schedule, I tagged all doors.
On the plan view, I manually changed all tags to a logical progressive number.
The door schedule will automatically show the new numbers.
I wish Revit can create a way such as asking the user to click the doors sequentially; then the door tags will be re-numbered by the program, instead manually modify each tag.

Thanks CDWdavid. That's a good suggestion to get around this issue.
Revit is awesome, but some of those tasks that were once straight forward seem to have become more complicated. I guess that's the nature of the beast when designing software to accomodate huge complex projects.
Thanks again.

Well, that is a good idea, you will be able to define and organize each of them.
