Hola -

Anyone have any smart tricks to beat the typical visual banding that happens when you render a large monolithic surface (e.g. brick, concrete) in Revit? In 3ds Max, I might apply/tile in a large noise modifier with offsets, but thus far in Revit, even tweaking the procedurals in material editing and replacing the bump bitmap with a noise map, I can't beat this beast. Any bright ideas, without having to fiddle and alter in Photoshop post-work? See attached (brick masses of backgrounded structures) as example.

Is that an OOTB Revit material?  I normally like to make my own materials to try and get rid of this problem.  I don't believe there is any "trick" for rendering that will help with this material.

The problem is the material sample size and its uniformity.  Use a different, more uniform material for these types of views.

Thanks to both of you. I used an OOTB non-uniform brick, so I imagine I'm seeing the same variation repeated over and over, versus a smoother continuum that tiles more seamlessly. Much appreciated!
