Is it possible to insert a family onto a detail view?  I have a roof framing plan of which I have created some simple truss profile families showing the truss outlines so that they could be identified in building sections.  Now I am detailing the roof framing plan and would like to "detail or elevate" the truss profiles to show the required bearing points and bottom chord/ceiling slopes.  Would like to use the profiles/families already created if possible, but not able to figure out how to get them on a sheet.

Any suggestions?

If they are in the project, then use a "real" model view.

Could you use a legend component?

You can always export to CAD and import.

Thanks WWHub - the legend worked.  I creating the legend - placing the family on the legend and then placed the legend on the sheet.   I am assuming that is what you ment w/ legend component.
