I am transitioning from AutoCAD to revit and have a particular way that section callouts and breaklines should look. I am having trouble getting the section tail to be an open horizontal rectangle versus the filled default one. I am also having trouble getting the breakline lineweight to be reduced...it is showing up too bold in my details. Any suggestion? I have tried editing the family and it does not allow me to change these things...help?

So what exactly is the problem?
"I have tried editing the family and it does not allow me to change these things" In your object styles for your break line you can create whatever line type and wight you want.
"I am having trouble getting the section tail to be an open horizontal rectangle" Open up the section tail family, do a save as and create the section tail type that you want.
