Is there a way to modify detail lines (dotted, dashed, etc)?? It seems that linework doesnt work with them. I suppose I'm using detail lines correctly, as what I want is to define is plumbing lines or other furnitures on independent plans.

To modify a detail line: Select the detail line, and change its type in the drop down menu. (also the same for model lines) The linework tool only works on edges of solids.

yep, I arrived already there, but the only option it gives to me is between thin, wide, medium lines, when I want to change the style (dotted, dashed....)

You'll find the loaded line patterns under Settings... Line Patterns. If what you want isn't there you'll have to create a new line pattern. Then you'll find the loaded line styles under Settings... Line Styles. If your desired line pattern is not associated to a line style then create a new line style by clicking on the Modify Subcategories button.

In families new linestyles can be created in your object styles setting menu.
