I have veen trying to import families from 3Ds, and sketchup, and I always seem to be running into the same problem,
the materials dont transfer over! I import from these programs because I have better experience making my own families,
and in revit not really.
Any help? Or tips?

The names should transfer over but you will most likely need to re-assign what materials go to what. If this is something that you do often and families that can be created in Revit I suggest that you learn how to create and become proficient at Revit families.
