Hi, big newb here

So I am trying to make a window that has trim, or in other words the materials turn around the wall opening and stop into the frame(see image).

I made one new window family that has only frame and glass and another generic wall-based family that has the trim part.

I've used ovveride graphics on the two families and it seems that part of my wall is under a projection lines that are thinner.

I want to make this wright. I dont want to draw lines on my plan view to "fix" this. Any suggestions please?

You will want to look up how 'wrap' works with windows and doors. But really, the visibility of the 3d trim part of the window family should be turned 'off' in plan view and replaced by detail lines. That's typical. Plan and elevation views often turn off the 3d parts and get replaced by 2d detail lines. Surprise surprise.
