Hi

I'm learning Revitt at work and my boss wants me to present a finished interior project fully priced..

I have ceiling finish scedules setup etc but how can I export this to present to a client and it make sense to him?

ATM I just have a schedule full of random materials when I just want to price a whole wall, floor finish etc not the materials used to create a floor slab.

Also how can I create a grand total for a job.. I need to create some kind of template but cannot for the life of me work it out.

You have way too much to do for what you know.   Revit is not an estimating program and is limited in that regard.  In addition, the quantity information coming out of Revit is only as good as the model.

I suggest you learn more before you take on such an ambitious project.  Use Revit for some gross quantities only at this time.  like SF of rooms x ceiling height gives you wall finish areas but you do this in an excel spreadsheet - not Revit.

I attended a seminar on BIM last week and the lead speaker told me I could price projects using revitt, he was also using Navisworks...

Also Im only costing a simple interior its not very complicated and ambitious..it's an imaginary project just to learn from
