Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice on how to stop section marks appearing on plan views.

My problem is this: having finished general arrangement drawing plans and then starting to create reinforcement drawing plans with new sections to show the rebar, all the new section marks are appearing on the GA drawings that are already finished. Which means having to constantly go back to the GA drawings to check and hide the section marks that aren't needed.

Any help much appreciated

use view templates with filters

I filter our sheet/ publication views under different series of drawings.  eg 00-GA, 31- Windows, 90- External works.  then create a filter for each series and you can turn on /off setion marks independantly.  eg. GA drawings only show GA sections. 

Takes a while to set up and maybe there's an easier way but I find this allows for total control....but ANY views on sheets should be determined by View templates (apart from in exceptional circumstances) - do not adjust on-the -fly  as it'll only cause problems in the long run
